I had a great overall experience with Amy Virago. Based off of previous reviews for realtor Amy, I decided to reach out to them after visiting a high pressure builder. I am very glad I did, she was very prompt, courteous and thorough. During the build process my wife and I had encountered numerous issues, Amy was very quick to call out and correct those discrepancies with the builder before they became further compacted. Additionally, Amy stayed abreast of any changes and communicated those to us in a timely manner. Ms. Amy Virago was my agent for the sale of my Puyallup home. She was always professional and up front which I appreciated. Her strategies for selling my home were a huge success. I have never sold a home before and this home meant a lot to me. She was understanding of my inexperience, helped guide me through the process and throughout all the questions (there were a lot of late night texts full of angst) she responded and put my mind at ease. Being new to selling a home meant I didn’t even know where to begin. She met with me in person, at my home and went over the realistic price point of sale and why. She was always up front about my listing and how to list it. Amy was very quick to get my home on the market knowing it was the right time. She had a photographer in my home within days. The photographs were amazing. She staged my home with ease, ensured the photographs did the property justice and that potential buyers would get exactly the same home they saw online as they would during a walk through. I was very happy with not only her strategy for listing price but the entire process. Amy was great about negotiating the sale of my home once we had a potential buyer. Without her knowledge, experience and positive working relationships with the title company, this sale would not have gone as smooth. Amy negotiated hard with the buyers agent, fought for the loan to be completed on time and any hiccups along the way were quickly handled in a professional and efficient manner. It was easy to put my trust in Amy’s ability to close the sale because she was always communicating with me about my needs and how to proceed based on those needs. My home listed September 30 and was closed by November 6th. The process could not have been better for myself or the buyer. I could not be happier. If you want not only a relator who has more knowledge and experience than most but also a team of people to make your home selling and buying process a win for you, go with them! When we arrived, Amy had everything planned out and spent the entire weekend taking us to all the houses we had requested. I can't remember the exact amount, but it was somewhere around 15 or more. Looking for an agent to help buy or sell your home? Someone who will go to bat for you? Someone who you can trust to get you the best bang for your buck? If so, Amy Virago is the person you want on your home-buying team. I did not know Amy before we began our homebuying process less than 3 months ago. My husband and I are both 25-year-old first time homebuyers. We didn’t know what we were looking for, or how to get to the home we wanted so desperately. I had no idea how easy she was going to make this process for us. We had absolutely no idea what we needed to do throughout this process, other than we wanted to own our first home. Our initial stop was to another amazing human, Becky Thompson, with New American Funding in Tacoma. She was our lender, and she helped us throughout the home buying process. She gave us our preapproval, and then we went on our way to begin home searching with the initial agent we chose. Our agent that we had originally chosen went out of town the first weekend we needed to begin home searching, and we were concerned, as we had a home we needed to see that weekend as they were accepting offers the upcoming Monday. We called our lender, Becky, and explained how urgent this was. She recommended us to Amy at 9:30pm on a Friday night. We were meeting up with Amy by 10 AM the next morning. Not only this, but that same night she was sharing a ton of other houses with us for us to view as well. We stuck with her after this choosing her over our initial agent, as we were so happy with how dedicated she was. She was thorough, she was quick, she was extremely responsive. She made us feel very comfortable expressing our desires for a home, while keeping us leveled and realistic for what we would be able to accomplish with our financial limitations. Amy has sat on the floor with me for 4 hours while our home inspection was being done with no furniture in the house, helped us get repairs on a leaky water pipe, helped us when I couldn’t make it down to a home by even picking me up to drive me there. She is the most dedicated real estate professional you could ever hope for, and I couldn’t recommend her enough. The transition in this process has led us from being another customer/agent relationship, to becoming friends. Beyond Adore, and Amy and her team, are perhaps the perfect embodiment of living up to your name. They have gone so far above and beyond my expectations that, without hesitation, I would recommend to someone who had even a fleeting thought of buying or selling their home. This is a long review, but the short of it is: they are absolutely amazing and made my families dreams come true while blowing us away with their professionalism and intuition and knowledge of the market and our needs in both buying and selling our home. Let me start with my first experience meeting Amy: In November of 2020 I had already consultated with a realtor that was recommended to me, that was not Amy. They had come over, inspected my property and told me I would be lucky to get close to the Zillow value of my home (which I know isn't a concrete metric, but nice to get an idea from). But first she recommended I spend thousands of dollars on beauty bark and removing trees and other frivolities. The total that I had estimated would run around $12-$15k. This is how much I would need to spend to get my house on the market at way below what I wanted and in hopes of getting close to what at the time I could only hope of getting. Not long after that, an acquaintance recommended Amy. Now, I'm not one to usually set up with one person and drop them for another, but in the interest of being fair, I called Amy at 12 noon on a Sunday, and she said she could meet me at 3pm that afternoon. Well when she showed up, she had a 3 ring binder filled with comps for the area around me and other info, and really just started going through my house with great staging ideas and small cost effective improvement that I could do myself and save money. When we got to the kitchen, she notices a light we have above the sink, and pulled out her phone and told me she had a seen a great light that would be perfect there. She on the spot ordered it from Amazon for me. Now, I understand some people might be a bit turned off by that, but for me, I was like, Damn, this person wants my business. We concluded the walkthrough and she was beyond optimistic in what we could get for our home. I'm talking 30-40k more than my other realtor. After talking with my wife, we decided to go with Amy. From the start, working with her was fantastic. Available at any time and she threw in and offered help at every turn. Needing to paint? Amy was there. Needing to clean? Amy was there. Needed to take thing the to dump? Amy showed up in a truck for us to load up AND THEN took it to the dump, paid to dump it, and unloaded it there all herself. Absolutely amazing. When it came time to finally list our house, she notes how the market changed and suggested we list for $25k more than she originally thought we should. For reference: our first agent suggested $315k, Amy originally said we should list at $350k, and when it came time to finally list, we put it up at $375k. The first day our house was on the market, Amy had a full day of showings. On the first day we got offers that surpassed what we could have ever thought, including an especiallly great offer late in the evening of the first day for $405k that had a 30k appraisal buffer. It ended up being the offer we took. Everything was going great, Amy kept us appraised of everything as it was happening. There ended up being a hitch that extended the closing date a few days, and Amy was instantly able to get us the Ernest money for the inconvenience. We ended up selling our home for almost $100k more than our first realtor thought we could get, while saving us thousands in recommending against unneeded beautification costs. She was so incredibly helpful and has such an amazing personality, that I just cannot say enough. Moving on to buying our new home: When my wife and I decided it was time for us to start looking for a new home, in this incredibly rough environment, we were intimidating and ready for disappoint from the start. Endless stories of people putting in offer after offer and getting rejected and month and month of looking for a home. Now, I am in no way saying that our experience is going to be everyone's when looking, but Amy and her team made it so smooth yet again, that we were just blown away by it. It started with a friend of my wifes who was listing their home and wanted us to take a look at it. So I contacted my bank and got our pre approval and contacted Amy straight away. It was so nice getting in contact with her and I couldn't wait to start working as a team for the foreseeable future in our search for a home.
